Star Wars Good Vs Evil 2002 Calendar

Another great year for Star Wars
In the tradition of well-done calendars for Star Wars in the last few years, the 2002 edition showcases alternating months of good guys and bad guys. Basically the theme is confrontations and/or battles and the coloring (blue or red) indicates the winner. There's an order, but I would call it odd since it begins in January with Episode IV (the orig 1977 one) and ends with Episode I. Anyway, great graphics (it's Star Wars after all!) and something to countdown to Episode II on.

Star Wars: A Droid's Tale Soundstory (Star Wars)
Published in Hardcover by Golden Books Pub Co Inc (November, 1997)
Authors: John Whitman, Steven D. Anderson, Anthony Daniels, and Golden Books
Average review score:

My son loves this book!!!!
We originally bought this book for our little boy at Toys R Us and he loved it so much that he broke the spine of the book. The soundstory feature makes this a great way to get a very young child more interested in books in general and that takes him/her one step closer to reading. My boy especially likes the page with the cantina band where he can press the buttons and make the different instruments play. If you have a toddler tearing about your house I give this my highest recomendation!

Start Drawing Wild Animals (Totally Amazing)

Totally Amazing Start Drawing Wild Animals
This book was rated excellent by a mother and daughter. I bought this book as a reward for my daughter Veronica who is seven and in the first grade. She is an up and coming artist and very particular when it comes to books. I purchased this book not knowing if she would use it but felt that at the low price it was worth taking a chance. She loves this book! We have both found that this book is an excellent resource for a young artist who wants to know how to draw animals. It provides the necessary detailed visual steps from start to finish of how to draw an animal, instead of the usual 2 step process we were finding in other drawing books. I came to the internet, to this site to try and find additional books because my daughter loves this book so much. Just can't tell say enough about want an excellent find this is for your young artist or for someone taking an interest in drawing animals. Hope you are as pleased as we are with this book!

Stories of the Golden West: A Western Trio
Published in Hardcover by Five Star (April, 2003)
Authors: Jon Tuska and Diana Palmer
Average review score:

Exciting and tautly written
Compiled and edited by Jon Tuska, Stories Of The Golden West Book: Four is an anthology of three short novels of the Old West that inspired classic Buck Jones films. The novels are "Rocky Rhodes of Roaring Camp" by W. C. Tuttle, "Riders of the Crimson Trail" by Jack Natteford, and "Outlaw Guns" by Cliff Farrell. Exciting and tautly written, these dramatic stories are vivid in their description and clearly show the sterling qualities of character, plot dilemma, and triumphant spirit that made each of them worthy of the silver screen.

Sunny Goes to School
Published in Paperback by Woofspun Publishing (01 May, 1996)
Authors: Detta Juusola and Jacqueline Reina
Average review score:

Fun yet practical
This true-to-life story shows Sunny, a sock-obsessed Golden Retriever puppy, go through the generally accepted steps in basic dog obedience school and become a well-trained, loving and loved family member. In school his young handler realizes that she is also a student and even has to do homework with Sunny. The dog school scenes are realistic. The author also follows the humorous in-class antics of a not quite so successful participant. Internationally famous cake decorator (yes, cake decorator) LaVona Keskey does the illustrations, and she is good! Even the non-star characters look like their breeds and show facial expression and personality in Keskey's renderings. A chapter at the end of the book outlines in detail the steps involved in basic obedience. This is a dog school book that is fun to read.
